Speaking at Great Indian Developer Summit

Tomorrow (22nd April, 2009), I will be talking at GIDS on Building Secure Web Services using WCF. You can find the detailed agenda here. Although the talk is quite close to the one I did at MCT Summit, I am planning to cover additional topics like – Securing REST based Web Services and an introduction to Geneva. So if you had been at MCT summit, you should still be motivated to attend my talk🙂 . Watch this space for session’s slides & demos.

    Dear Niraj,

Your talk was excellent. I had to stand for your session since the room was chock-full. Super talk and I look forward to spending a very productive and engaging time at the summit

Thanks Anusha!!! Glad you found the talk useful but personally it could have been lot better. I wish we had a bigger hall as well. Nevertheless, let me know if you had missed out on anything. All the best for the rest of Summit.

    Hi Niraj,
    Developer summit 2009 wonderful event.
In short span you covered lot.
If video is their we wouldn’t forget any topic.

    One query I have.
WS security need to implement with framework 3.0.
    If yes, how to do.

    Hi Ramanathan,

WCF is bundled with .NET 3.0 framework. So you can implement WCF security with .NET 3.0 as well. I hope that’s what you meant. But if you want to build RESTful services using WCF you would have to move to .NET 3.5 SP1 or use WCF REST Starter Kit. Let me know if I missed out anything.

You can check for session videos with GIDS organizers. There was live recording for sure. You may be able to get hold of them.
